Curves

So I have been working out for 2 weeks now since I last got weighed and measured and I have lost 4 lbs already!  So happy about it, I definately look forward to getting up and working out early in the morning.  In another two weeks or so I will go get weighed and measured again!  Can't wait to see the inches come off! 

November already!

Time goes by way too fast!!!  I can't believe it is November already :)  Feels like tomorrow will be Christmas then the next day New Years...Skye turned 10 a few days ago, Hannah will be 4 in a few weeks.  Wow, time flies.  It feels like winter is already upon us.  It is so cold, cold, cold in the mornings.  It has snowed twice but didn't stay, I am sure pretty soon it will be here for good for a few months.  But it is supposed to be warm today and tomorrow so I will take what I can get! 

I just started working out at Curves again, been just over a week and I have already lost 1 lb.  I think I have lost more fat than that but am starting to gain muscle once again.  I am bound and determined to get to my pre-pregnancy weight or my pre-pre-pre-pregnancy weight I should say!  I have been getting up at 5:00 am to get ready and get going.  Believe it or not I actually like it and look forward to it each night before I go to bed!  I want to be healthier and actually like how I look in my clothes.  I will get there, not sure how long it will take, but I WILL get there!

Almost time to leave to a doctors appointment so I am off.  Have a great day everyone and God bless!

My God is a prayer answerer!

Jesus answers prayers :) Skye was going to be late for school if I didn't hurry this morning and get out the door. Finally we did, 2 minutes after I said we were going to leave...had her start the car and then I went to put Miah in her car seat...I went to grab the buckle and to my dismay it was caught in the door ge...ars, I couldn't get it out or close the door. Oh what was I going to do?!  I tried for a few more minutes on my own to no avail...it was STUCK and wasn't going to come free. I thought I would have to cut it out. I then remembered, hey dummy, why don't you pray, so I did, a simple prayer. The next thing I did was push the button to shut the door, grabed the seatbelt, and the door closed, then seatbelt came unstuck...thank you Jesus and Skye wasn't late, had like 2 minutes to spare!

A sad day...

The home loan fell through and we are unable to get a house right now...a little sad about it, but God knows best, He has something better for us down the road...

A few more weeks to go!

Well Willow St. is it! We accepted the counter offer and today we are having the home inspection! I am so excited! I can't wait to be able to move into the house. It is very large and we will definitely have some fun fixing it up to our taste! It feels so good! There are 3 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom. A full finished basement, half of it is carpeted, and a small space for an office with the upstairs bedroom. It has an old fashioned laundry shoot upstairs which is really cool, I may be able to get the girls to actually put their dirty clothes where they go! I can't wait! (Did I already say that?-Yes I did, still true though!)

The Suspense...

So we should know by tomorrow if we will be purchasing the house on Willow Street here in Anaconda, I am torn between it and the house on Maple...I want to be where God wants us to be so I will be happy in either home, if either home is where we are supposed to be!

Happy Holidays!

Well we had a wonderful Christmas this year. The girls got tons of presents from everyone :) Thank you all! Unfortunately we didn't have a white Christmas :( Maybe next year! I can't believe how fast this year has gone! A few more days and it will be 2010! Wow :) Well right now we are in the middle of purchasing our first home! Yeah! We gave our offer yesterday and hope to hear back soon! It is a pretty large home with a front and a back yard :) Not too common here in Anaconda, but a must with kids! The kitchen is a little small but will work for me. It has 2bedrooms on the main floor, a full basement and a large room upstairs with a small study attached. I will upload pics depending on how the offer goes!

Who would have ever thought they would have heard me say that temperatures in the 30's & 40's were warm??? I would have been the first to laugh! I have always been frozen half to death! But when I walked out to the van to drop Skye of at school today...I thought summer was coming! lol :) I even went with no coat on...shhhhh, don't tell my mom :) Getting ready to go pick her up now and it is a whopping 41 degrees here, wow!

Under the tree...

I thought I would have more trouble keeping Mariah out of the presents that are under the tree...more like Hannah! Grandma Oliver and Aunt Tammy sent a big box and the kids are super excited. They want to open them now! Miah loves the lights on the tree and all the ornaments...she thinks they are just for her to take off! Stinker :)

Can you handle the cold?

Wow! It has been in the teens, the negative teens all week long! Talk about COLD!!! I think winter has definitely set in here in Montana! Skye wanted to go ice skating with Sarah, I let them know it was too cold but they didn't care or believe me, not too sure which it was...well half an hour later they called, "can someone come pick us up?" They were freezing! Who could have guessed? It was only -5 degrees outside! Poor Aaron has to work out in it today, right now it is 0 degrees outside...I bet he is a little cold. I am so thankful he is willing to work in this weather. He is a wonderful husband! Oh, we all just got over being sick and having Pink Eye. That was NO fun, try giving 2 toddlers eye drops every two hours...Skye didn't like it either, but at least I didn't have to hold her down, even though she didn't like them either! Now Sarah has it but is confining herself to the bedroom outside. I sure hope and pray it doesn't spread again! Skye finally got her school pictures back :) She is growing up way too fast! She is doing excellent in school, all A's and a few B's but she has adjusted well.

It is SNOWING!

Snow that finally sticks! Hannah is sure enjoying it! A little cold out there but it is beautiful :) Will be taking more pictures to upload ASAP!

The scare of my life!

Have you ever lost a child or not known where they were at? Doesn't fear strike your heart...well it did mine the other day. Skye wanted to ride Caleb's bike a little farther than what we had agreed upon. She came and asked me if she could ride one block further because it had a small hill she could go down. I hesitantly agreed...as she left I got back to work relearning algebra so I could help my husband study for his upcoming test this week..about a half an hour had past so I put the laptop up and went outside. Aaron was working on remodeling the shed and Melanie was outside, but I didn't see Skye or Calebs bike...I went out to the sidewalk and looked up and down the streets and didn't see her. I told her she could ride down one block in either dirrection and then down the little hill. So I got in my van to check and see if she was at the hill. She wasn't. I figured maybe we just missed eachother and she was home now. So I drove back to the house. As soon as I pulled up Aaron asked if I found her. I told him no and pulled out again. After another trip around the nearby blocks I headed back, still no Skye, that is when my heart started pounding more, my mind started racing, and I stared praying...my girl was lost. I heard an ambulance and a police siren, in my mind I imagined Skye bloody on the ground, that she had been hit by a car...but at least I knew where she was. I tried to follow the sirens but they weren't near the house...I knew Skye would not disobey me and go further than she was allowed...She is a good girl. She may give me attitude sometimes, but for the most part when I set a boundry she stays within her limits. I came home to get my phone, ans she still wasn't there, so Aaron got in his truck and went searching for her too. I tried looking for the non-emergency phone number for Anaconda, but couldn't find it online so I just dialed 911. I asked about the sirens I was hearing, telling them I couldn't find my daughter. They told me the sirens were for something out on the freeway. That was too far to be her. At first I was releaved that it wasn't her, but then all the other senerios started popping into my head...I took Sarah along with me to help look for her. My hands were getting sweety and I was starting to get sick to my stomach. After driving around what seemed like hours and was only a few minutes Sarah sugested that we check the super slide. I really didn't think she would go that far, but I was getting desperate by now...after talking with Aaron and finding out he hadn't found her either I went to check the house before going to the superslide...Melanie was standing out by the front sidewalk with Mariah. I pulled up asking if Skye had made it back yet. She told me....she has been here the whole time, sleeping in Sarah's bed...The weight of the world lifted from me, but I still felt sick to my stomach...I called Aaron and let him know that she was home and safe. So aparently while I was zoned out doing algebra for Aaron, Skye had walked in past me and went to take a nap...She had also placed her bike on the other side of the barn out of sight...I was thanking God and praising Him that she was ok...we both had to go take some tums!!!

We are here!!!

It was a LONG 15 hour drive to Anaconda, but we made it! :) I really hate packing! We found a house close to Melanie's, but won't be able to get into it for a few weeks. I can't wait to get unpacked and settled in! Melanie and Scott are so wonderful for giving us a place to stay, so is Caleb for giving up his room for us and Sarah for sharing hers with Skye! You guys are AWESOME! Aaron and Melanie are in Missoula right now getting supplies to fix up Mel's shed into a quilting studio for us :) We are SO excited!!! This is something she has always wanted and now that Aaron and I have some time on our hands...well we are going to help her out! I am just now starting to quilt so this ROCKS! Making my first quilt for Skye now, will upload pics of it soon!

Anaconda, Montana

Anaconda Montana! What a beautiful place :) The girls absolutely LOVE the huge slide here. Hannah has no, I repeat NO fear!!!! She went on this thing all by herself before I could even get to her. She didn't care that it was about 40 feet high and you zoom down like lightening...she enjoyed it, turned around and ran right back up those stairs for more!!! The smoke stack and the Copper Express are a part of Anaconda history and main tourist attractions. The mountains here are huge and I can imagine they are very beautiful in the winter, although it is not as green as Oregon :) We are enjoying our time here visiting family!

Multnomah Falls

Stopped by the falls on our way home from visiting my grandma in the hospital a few weeks ago. Girls had fun and it was a beautiful day! Nice way to wind down a LONG drive :) We let the kids play in the creek on the way to the car...they had a BLAST, the water was freezing but they didn't care! Mariah loves to eat rocks...crazy :)

Camping

Just a few pics from our camping trip last week. We had a blast! I caught my first fish on a fly rod while I was in Aaron's float tube in the middle of the lake. Such fun, I am hooked! Can't wait to go again!!!! Miah loved the water and wasn't afraid at all! Skye learned how to start a good fire with my help, Hannah had a blast.

My girls are growing sooooo fast! Skye is turning into a beautiful young lady, Hannah is getting older and wiser!!! he he he...at least she thinks she is :) And Miah has decided she wants to start helping more around the house! My girls are such blessings! The other day we went to the park and hung out, they played on the playground, then were lazy with me in the grass, then they cooled off in the little creak at the park! We ended the afternoon with ice cream from McD's :) Summer fun!

I am flying!

Finally loving yourself :) I am recommiting myself to flylady.net :) So far things have been going good and my sink is shining! There is so much less stress when you are organized and following routines in house cleaning, and well day to day living. It is nice to wake up to a clean kitchen with NO dirty dishes in the sink! And it is wonderful to have family members who help me out in this area :) Thank you everybody! I haven't gotten into my zone cleaning yet, but I am doing good where I am at now.
